Hello reader reader
In a few days you will be boarding your flights to San Jose, Costa Rica, and we wanted to wish you a safe flight. Remember masks will be required on flights and within crowded public spaces in Costa Rica, so make sure you bring several masks.

For those arriving the day before, we'll pick you up at the Bougainvillea Hotel. That way, if our flight gets delayed for whatever reason, you can relax at the hotel until we arrive. The rest will arrive at 11:45 am on Thursday, June 10th. We hope to pick you up before 2pm. Feel free to have lunch at the hotel and we'll refund your money for the meals.

Once we pick you up, we'll go over the Continental Divide and down into the lowlands of the Caribbean side. We'll make a couple of stops along the way to admire the scenery and photograph some birds. Make sure to have camera equipment accessible.

Upon arrival to the lodge, we'll get our rooms and set our dinner time. After dinner that night, we'll go for a night walk to photograph some nocturnal amphibians.

Reminders

Obtain your Health Pass at this link https://salud.go.cr/ 48 hours prior to departure.

How Long is 48 Hours?

The electronic health pass form instructions state you cannot apply until 48 hours prior to your arrival. However, the form logic is based on date not flight time so this means that the actual window is 71 hours and 59 minutes. At 12:01 am on the 1st of the month the form will accept applications for all flights on the 3rd, 2nd and 1st.

The times and dates are based on the Central American time zone.
