TANZANIA + KENYA 2025 July 14-Aug 2 February Updates
During our recent meeting, we discussed a few itinerary changes made to avoid flying from Tanzania to Kenya. These adjustments include an additional visit to Arusha National Park before leaving Tanzania. We will then cross the border by land at the Namanga Border Crossing, traveling in style aboard a "Rosa"—a light tour bus similar to the one pictured on the right.
While this change adds some cost to our trip, we save on airfare. It is both more affordable and more efficient than flying to Nairobi and then driving five hours south to Amboseli National Park.
Below is the presentation I used during the meeting, outlining the day-by-day itinerary.

Here is the service voucher, which may be required at the border crossing and/or upon arrival in Tanzania. Please ensure you have a copy with you, either in digital or printed form—ideally both.

Yellow Fever Vaccination
We also discussed the potential requirement by the Kenyan government for all visitors to provide proof of a Yellow Fever vaccination due to recent cases. To avoid any issues upon arrival, I strongly recommend that everyone get vaccinated. The vaccine is a one-time for life and is currently available at local Health Departments for around $225-$250, which is significantly more affordable than Passport Health clinics, where it costs nearly $450. If you need more information on this, please let me know.

Regarding Visas
Currently is too early to apply for Visas. We should wait until we are inside the 90 days prior to arrival to Tanzania to request your VIsa. Below are links to the sites you need to visit to get the Visa for Tanzania and the Travel Authorization for Kenya. Be aware that Tanzania requires a specific type of Visa for U.S. Passport Holders: Mutiple Visa
Remember most of you will be arriving on July 15th to Tanzania and we will cross the border into Kenya on July 28th.
