COSTA RICA BIODIVERSITY TOUR
JUNE 1-15, 2024

Hello reader reader
We are delighted to inform you that the booking process has been successfully completed. All arrangements have been made for the upcoming trip, which includes a photo session with King Vultures, an encounter with Great Green Macaws, a boat tour to observe crocodiles and birds along the Tarcoles River and much more. We believe that everyone has booked their flights, but if you haven't yet provided us with your flight information, please do so at your earliest convenience. As you all noticed we adjusted the invoices to reflect the extra night on arrival on June 2nd and two extra meals. We selected the Airport Hotel which is fairly close to the aiport and they offer transportation to and from the airport. Regardless, chances are we'll be arriving before all of you so we'll be picking you up as you arrive at the Juan Santamaria Airport (SJO)

Final payments due April 15th, 2024

You should have received an invoice with your final balance. We are flexible, so if for whatever reason you can't send the payment by that date, don't worry just lets us know.

ZOOM MEETING SUNDAY APRIL 14 @ 6:00PM

Below you'll find an invite to a Zoom meeting to discuss final preparations for our Costa Rica Photo Expedition. My wife and I will be answering any questions you may have. It should take about an hour to go over the arrival procedures and any questions you may a have.

Hope to see you all in the meeting.

Whatsapp

This could potentially be the most effective app for communication during your time in Costa Rica. We have access to Wi-Fi in all of our accommodations, even in the most remote locations. Through our experience, we've discovered that Whatsapp is the optimal communication tool as it consumes less bandwidth compared to others. To circumvent daily fees from our carrier service while abroad, we typically rely on Whatsapp for communication.

Currency

Costa Rica widely accepts US dollars, so there's usually no necessity to exchange currency. However, it's advisable to carry low denomination bills in excellent condition, without any writing or tears. Higher denomination bills like $50s or $100s might not be accepted, so it's best to stick to smaller denominations. If you receive change, it might be in Colones, the local currency, which showcases beautiful designs featuring birds, sharks, monkeys, and sloths—an artistic homage to the country's rich natural diversity.

Thank you so much, and see you soon.
