TANZANIA + KENYA 2025

Dear reader reader
You are receiving this email because you expressed interest in our 2025 Tanzania-Kenya photo safari. I am pleased to share the itinerary for this trip with you. After some logistical adjustments with Nature Expeditions, our safari operator, we have optimized the travel arrangements to avoid luggage weight limitations and minimize driving times. Initially, we considered flying from Serengeti to Nairobi, but the 30-pound luggage limit and high cost of the small turboprop commuter flight were impractical. The new route offers more relaxed travel and eliminates the need to fly from Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport as originally proposed.

Please take some time to review the updated itinerary and the terms and conditions from Nature Expeditions. Their cancellation policy is standard in the industry, and they recommend obtaining trip insurance in case of any last-minute issues that may prevent you from traveling. The cost includes both the Tanzania and Kenya extensions, but you have the option to participate only in the Tanzania portion if you prefer. We chose Amboseli and Nairobi National Park for their shorter driving times and excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing, including the chance to see large tuskers with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.

The price includes all in-country lodging, transportation, meals, and National Park fees. Flights, visas, and gratuities are not included. The Tanzania visa application fee is about $50 USD. As of January 2024, Kenya is visa-free for foreign nationals traveling for business or tourism for up to 90 days. However, all travelers must apply for an electronic travel authorization (ETA) online at least 72 hours before their trip, which costs $34 per visitor. I will provide more details on obtaining the necessary documentation. Regarding flights I was able to find multi-city flights MCO(Orlando>JRO(Tanzania)>NBO(Kenya) >MCO for about $2500. Unfortunately most carriers have not posted their flights for July 2025 just yet. We should have a better idea by next month.

We have carefully selected some of the best lodges and camps for this adventure. Links to all the lodges and some national parks are included for your convenience. I assure you that the quality of service and food in both countries is superb. If you are interested in this safari, please use the registration form on the website to secure your spot. Registration is needed to reserve the lodging.
