As part of our efforts to increase awareness on the importance of protecting our environment, I have produced a series of presentations that are given throughout the year. Among this presentations is the "Life of Birds" , full of bird facts and on-field observations. This educational presentation is recommended for high schools students as well as adults. The smallest bird on Earth.
The Cuban Bee hummingbird is the smallest bird in the world with an average lenght of only 2.5 inches.

The best diver of all birds.
The Emperor Penguin can swim down to 2,000 feet under the freezing waters of the Antartica and stay
submerged for up to 10 minutes.

Fastest flying bird.
The Peregrine falcon can reach speeds of up to 200 mph during accelerated dives.

Do all pelicans dive to catch their fish?
No. While the Brown Pelican dive to catch fish, his cousin the American White Pelican uses a herding
technique to drive the fish to the shallows where they're easy to catch withouth having to dive.
